PREVENTION
Together we can work to reduce substance use in our commmunity.
LEARN MORE.
Our prevention services at Recovery Lighthouse aim to reduce substance use and its effects within Johnson County, focusing on youth substance use prevention and opioid overdose prevention. Through community collaboration, education, and the development of a comprehensive plan, we strive to unite the community in these efforts.
To engage the community in youth substance use prevention, we have established the Johnson County Prevention coalition. This group consists of dedicated community members from various backgrounds who meet monthly to work towards our goal of reducing youth substance use. If you are interested in joining the coalition, please contact us at info@recoverylighthouse.org.
As part of our prevention initiative, we also aim to decrease opioid overdose within our community by offering resources and education. Recovery Lighthouse provides free Narcan and Fentanyl test strips with no questions asked. We are also available to provide training to you or your agency. If you would like more information on any of these services, please reach out to us by calling our office at 660-429-2222.
